About

Theresa has been promoting balanced eating for over 25 years.  She is currently a nutrition writer, speaker, renal dietitian, and exercise instructor.  She serves on the nutrition faculty at Potomac State College of West Virginia University.  Her articles regularly appear in the Diet and Nutrition E-newsletter for QualityHealth.com and on the websites QualityHealth.com and Nubella.com, where she also hosts her Balanced Eating blog.

Experiences include nutrition counseling in physicians’ offices, a fitness center, a behavioral health hospital, and addiction programs. She has also taught corporate wellness classes and has written and performed regularly featured nutrition tips for radio and television. In 2008, she was a priority session speaker at the American Dietetic Association's (ADA) Food and Nutrition Conference and Expo (FNCE)  in Chicago. 

Theresa serves as the Sponsorship Chair on the Executive Committee of the Nutrition Entrepreneurs Dietetic Practice Group of the American Dietetic Association and is the Vice-Chairman of the Dietetic Caucus of the Western Maryland Area Heath Education Center. She holds two Bachelor of Science degrees from Hood College. 

She enjoys gardening, cooking, canoeing, and all sorts of exercise.  She lives in the mountains of Western Maryland with her husband and two children who are currently in college.
